"At-home micro-needling devices are rapidly becoming the preferred choice for encouraging natural skin renewal and improving product absorption."
Your Routine, Step by Step
Get to know your pen. Start on a low speed and a shallow depth, and pair each session with gentle, fragrance-free skincare.
Settle into a rhythm. Stay consistent, keep sessions short, and give your skin time to rest between them.
Keep it up. Follow the manual's guidance, and take your own photos to track how your skin looks over time.
Everyone's skin is different, so go at your own pace.
How the Derma Pen Works Beneath the Surface
Gentle micro-channels. Natural renewal.
Fine, sterile needles create tiny micro-channels in the skin's surface, which helps encourage the skin's natural renewal process.
With regular use, the skin may look smoother, more even and more refreshed.
The micro-channels may also help your serums and moisturizers absorb better.

What Experts Say
“Micro-needling can help improve the appearance and texture of your skin. It can minimize stretch marks, scars, wrinkles and other skin concerns. It doesn't carry the risk of skin discoloration, unlike some facial rejuvenation procedures that use heat, light or lasers.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your first session.
What's the difference between the cartridges?
Your kit includes different cartridges so you can match the treatment to your skin and comfort level.
12-Pin Cartridge: Targeted
- Fewer needles concentrate pressure on smaller points, giving a more focused feel.
- Best for small, specific areas.
- Recommended for experienced users who are comfortable with stronger stimulation.
36-Pin Cartridge: All-Rounder
- More needles spread pressure evenly, so the feel is gentler.
- Covers larger areas like the face and neck faster.
- Great for a smoother-looking, fresher-looking complexion and better serum absorption.
Nano Cartridge: Gentle & Surface-Level
- Ultra-fine pins that work on the skin's surface only.
- Minimal downtime, a good starting point for beginners and sensitive skin.
- Helps skin look more radiant and helps your serums absorb.
New to microneedling? Start with the Nano or 36-pin cartridge.
How often should I use it?
Less is more. Your skin needs time to recover between sessions.
- Nano / 0.25 mm: up to 1–2 times per week
- 0.5 mm: about once per week
- Longer needle depths: not recommended for home use
Start at the lowest depth and build up slowly. If your skin feels sore, looks red or irritated, wait until it has fully calmed down before your next session.
Does it hurt?
Most people feel a light tingling or prickling sensation. Shorter needle depths are the most comfortable, so start there. You can use the lowest speed setting at first and move slowly across the skin without pressing hard.
How do I prepare my skin?
- Cleanse: start with a clean, dry face.
- Sanitize: wipe the pen body and your hands with an alcohol wipe.
- Skip actives: avoid retinol and exfoliating acids (glycolic, salicylic) for 24–48 hours before.
- Use a fresh cartridge every time.
What should I apply after a session?
Keep it simple and soothing: a hydrating serum (like hyaluronic acid) and a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer. Skip retinoids, vitamin C and exfoliating acids for 24–48 hours, since your skin will be more sensitive.
Can I wear makeup afterwards?
We recommend waiting at least 24 hours. Freshly treated skin is more sensitive, and makeup can clog pores or cause irritation.
Can I reuse a cartridge?
No. Cartridges are single-use only. Each one comes in its own sterile packet, so open it right before you use it and throw it away afterwards. Reusing cartridges can cause irritation.
Who should NOT use a derma pen?
Skip microneedling, or talk to your doctor first, if you:
- Have active acne, eczema, rosacea, sunburn, cold sores or open wounds in the treatment area
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Take blood thinners or have a skin condition or a tendency to keloid scarring
If you're unsure, do a small patch test first and check with a healthcare professional.
How long until I notice a difference?
Everyone's skin is different. Many people notice skin that looks smoother and more radiant after a few weeks of consistent use. Results vary from person to person, and consistency matters more than intensity.
